OK, so its been awhile since I last dropped some seti-news on you.. I could claim I've been really busy, and that has been true, but it would also be an excuse. Honestly, I just got tired of it.. I HOPE I can manage to fix that and get back on the ball.. lets see how it goes!!!
first off, lets welcome some new members.
Pisano , layogurt, BELGARION8542, Marsman, Greg Beyerlein, Alarie Jefferson Sr, Dragonwhyr, and Vampire_Lestat all joined us this month. Remember, it is to us that the honor is being given. These people have shown us respect by joining our group. So lets thank them, and show them that they are worth it.
We had 3 gold stars today as MsQuint (Anie to you) learned what was on the other side of 10k credits, and Fathertyme and Rudolf learned the secret behind 50k credits.. Congrats to the 3 of you.. you've earned it.
olive was our top cruncher this month, using a mere 112,788 Credits to smash the competition.. hands down...
Dave Rave snagged second courtesy of 83,167 credits, and and squito snagged third by dumping 51,335 credits. Of note, Rudolf snagged a nice double with a 5th place finish.. woot..
Our mover and shaker this past month was none other than Rudolf (***T R I P L E***) who earned himself 31 places on the team charts by unloading 33,871 credits.. NICELY done...

We had 4 top movers today as Esa Laitila, Beast1624, Sandra DeLoach, and Humfrog64 (*DOUBLE!!! with a 7th place finish in Top Crunchers). They all moved up just a single place on the team charts, but that was enough to snag a 1/4 of the Top Mover award... WOOT!!!

Well... I'm back.. But during the tyme I was not writing, it appears ONLY 60 members managed to turn in any work units.. That means that over the past 7 days, we managed to rack up 185 thousand credits... and thats it...
We had 2 gold stars today as both squito and PCRacer managed to crash past the 1/4 million Credit barrier. They didn't even hesitate as they con tinued up the ladder of success.. woot!!!
Not content with just that, squito nailed 3rd place in the top cruncher chart, and PCRacer snagged 8th.. Thats doubles for both of them.. woot.. Oh yeah.. Dave Rave snagged first with 24,539 Credits, and olive nailed second with 24,152 Credits... boo yah!!!
kerbell7ken was our top mover today, he used 1,311 Credits to snag a 6 place move up the team charts. There were several snarls and groans as he moved up the charts, but he just smiled, and walked away.. Very smoothly done.
And thats the end of our journey today. See you in a couple days. Sorry if the tone of this news was a little down, but I'm getting frustrated.It seems that no matter what happens, the team is declining. I don't see a lot of interest anymore, and honestly, I find that BOINC is not quiet as much fun as SETI classic was.. Its a real quandry, but I'm trying to keep things up for you guys. Because YOU are what matters. I believe in what SETI is doing, but I just feel that they have ended up leaching some of the fun out of it. I need to find a way to renew my enjoyment... Let me know if you have ideas (tho if you email me at the seti account.. make sure its CLEAR in the subject line what you want.. I get about 100 spam messages a day in that thing) Well.. olive was our top cruncher this week with 16,196 Credits. Dave Rave snagged second with 9,080 Credits, and jester snagged 3rd with 6,100 Credits. very nicely done.

Well, I'm back home, and back in charge... so lets get down to business...
We had 56 active members this weekend, and they turned in a total of 78424 Credits. Not too bad...
olive was once again on top of the top cruncher heap today as he showed up with 12,025 Credits. Dave Rave showed up next with 8,228 Credits, and Humfrog64 rounded out the top 3 with 4,964 Credits. jester was also worth noting as he landed in 4th with 4,935 Credits, just 29 credits less than our 3rd place finisher.
AAFPT was our top mover today with a 3 place move. Courtesy of 61 Credits. Nicely played..

OK... its been a strange week, but, I'm back home now, Jaymac and SuperDwarf in tow.. and we still have miles to go before we can sleep.. :)
We had 2 Gold Stars this week, starting with SeaMax USA who crashed the 10k barrier, and finishing up with jester who crashed the 1 million Credit party with a vengence.. woot...
Dave Rave was our top cruncher this week, dumping 13,626 Credits to surplant our usual first place winner, who took second this week. Yup, olive was our 2nd place finisher with 12,153 Credits, while Humfrog64 snagged 3rd with 8,120 Credits. jester, our gold star, nailed a double by landing in 4th with 7,834 Credits.. who's the man?!?!? thats right...
affliction was our top mover this week, using 4,666 Credits to snag 9 places on the team charts. Thats called skill, my friends...
Shoot, we even had a mover and shaker this week as QUAD XEON managed to claw his way out of the Cat Toys, and become the newest member of The Chow Hounds. Nicely Done.
Anyways, thats prettymuch it. We might have had more, but only 57 of our 199 registered users managed to return so much as 1 credit this week, and thats just not enough to compete. So I'll see you guys all on monday night.. and between now and then.. make everyone crunch ;)

You guys thought I'd forget, didn't you?!?!? shame shame shame.... I'm posting this tonight from Colorado, guesting with Krbshappy71 and Rahhstah. SuperDwarf, Jaymac and I are all here with Dutch and krbs 2 kids. And yet.. here I am... posting this for you guys.
We had 2 gold stars today starting with SeaMax USA who blew past 10 thousand Credits. Jester was next up, becoming just the 5th member of the team to pass the 1 million Credit mark... Very Nicely Done...
olive was our top cruncher today with 17 thousand 528 Credits. Dave Rave snagged second place with 12 thousand 947 Credits. And jester snagged a solid Double with a 3rd place finish using 7 thousand 397 Credits. Thats a really nice double if you ask me..!!!!
QUAD NEON was our top mover today. He dropped 2 thousand 522 Credits and managed to snag 5 places on the team charts, and coincidentally entering the top 100 at the same tyme.. WOOT!!!
Speaking of QUAD NEON, he earned himself a double as a mover and shaker, turning his nose up at The Cat Toys and becomming the newest member of The Chow Hounds... WOOT!!!
And thats it.. Thats all, I'm done. There wont be news tomorrow since as far as I know, there is no broadband in Yellowstone National Park (if I'm wrong, then I'll post). I should be able to post wednesday night, probably not on thursday, and maybe friday or saturday night... So... Enjoy what I can get on here :)

Well now.. this is an exciting news tonight.. Why you ask?!?! because I'm sitting here with Skookum, LWD sLaPpY, and SuperDwarf, and they are watching over my shoulder in AWE at how the news goes to print.. woot!!!

Well, looks like we had 62 active members this week, turning in almost 173 Thousand Credits.. not bad.. I think we can do better, but its still a pretty good total.
Sandra DeLoach was our only gold star this week as she finally managed to get over 25 thousand Credits into the Big Seti Bank. You could hear the celebration all the way over here.. it musta been quite a party!!!

QUAD XEON was our top mover this week, having used 3,042 Credits to earn 13 places on the team charts, much to the consternation of other members.. but.. pshaw!!! Thats what they get for screwing around ;)

Well.. looking back, looks like I pooched the news on the weekend. I ran the news, just never published it.. BAH.. Thats what I get for doing this crap late at night.
anyways, we had 57 members active over the last 5 days, and they returned over 102 thousand Credits.. Nice...
olive was our top cruncher, having turned in over 19 thousand credits, or almost 20 percent of the total credits we turned in. Dave Rave landed in second with 14 thousand credits, and jester scored third place courtesy of the 7,129 credits he louded onto our little pile.. Very nicely done..
Michael Godman was our top mover. He dumped 67 credits onto our pile, and that was just enough to propel him 4 places up the team charts. Every now and then you find one of those kick ass spots where you can really gain.. Worship it :)

another quiet day here at the Seti News.. but we'll keep reporting till the day is done...
Dave Rave snaked the top cruncher spot away from olive today. He dropp 2,923 Credits to pull ahead. olive meanwhile was sitting in second place with 2,383 Credits. cave ended up in third with 1,276 Credits.
We had a 4 way tie in the Top Cruncher category today as Maybe We'll Find Dog, Anie, Trouter, and Guy Dover all moved a single place up the team charts. That was enough tho to snag the Top Mover award!!!.
